Check engine light

When you start your vehicle, the check engine light comes on momentarily to test the engine/emission control system and bulb. The system is self-diagnostic and the light is a way to communicate trouble. The system is designed to function in a "limp home" mode when trouble occurs and the light comes on - and stays on. Doggie details

Fluffy little muddy dog holding a brush

You take your dog in your vehicle with you because of course you do. Why have a dog if you're not going to spoil it, after all? Camping, hiking, or just sunny days in a park are all great excuses for a drive with your canid comrade. But as a dog owner, you know that a regular vacuum isn't going to pick up dog fur out of upholstery. Battery maintenance

All Subaru vehicles are equipped with maintenance-free batteries. The term "maintenance-free" can be misleading, though, because these batteries do require some attention to keep them clean and efficient.

It is really important to have your car's battery checked by a Subaru-trained technician regularly. A battery check includes examining cable connections for cleanliness and tightness. Loose or corroded connections can drastically diminish your car's starting power.

We gave the teachers of Ellsworth Elementary-Middle School each $100

"We know a lot of teachers, and we know that many of them dip into their own pocket to help keep students fed, particularly at the end of the year like this," said Mark Politte, referencing the fact that 1 in 4 Maine children are food insecure. According to No Kid Hungry, most teachers spend hundreds of dollars of their own money on food for their students over the course of a year. "We're invested in helping these teachers continue to do the good work they do and letting them know that they're not alone."

Ascent reveal party at Stanley Subaru

We held a special invitation to our owners to be the first people in Maine to get an up close look at the all-new Subaru Ascent.

But we love to share, and we can't keep the excitement to ourselves, so we invited WABI TV5 to help us share the details!

And this being Teacher Appreciation Day and all, we couldn't neglect the opportunity to team up with our local Hannaford Supermarkets store to give $100 Hannaford gift cards to each teacher at a school selected by our guests.
