Test Drives for the Cure is back and needs your help!
Stanley Subaru is supporting down east cancer patients with Test Drives for the Cure. For every test drive taken in October, we will donate $10 to the care of patients at the Breast Health Clinic at Northern Light Health Maine Coast Hospital. No purchase is necessary, and the money will be donated in your name. Ten minutes of your time could help save a local life!

What's my trade-in worth? Who buys cars even if I'm not buying one of theirs?
Ooh! Ooh! We do!
We will buy your vehicle, even if you don't buy one from us!
Call and talk to us at 207-667-4641. We buy all makes. A good vehicle is a good vehicle, and we have a used car department where we sell all kinds of makes and models. We will pay off your loan and give you the leftover cash. We'll even give you a ride home!
Fill a Forester for furry four-footers!
Fill a Forester with supplies for shelter animals!
We are kicking off our drive for pet supplies Saturday, September 15th here alongside our friends at SPCA of Hancock County. They'll be here with pets for adoption!
We'll be gathering food and goodies from September 15th through September 28th here at the Stanley Subaru showroom. On September 29th, we'll have the Forester at the 10th Annual SPCA of Hancock County Pet Fair & Family Fun Day at Woodlawn Museum for a final push!
Why and how to take care of your tires
We all know that tires wear. There are certain things you, as an owner, can do to help minimize this wear and prolong the life of your tires (and save money!).
Keep your tires properly inflated.
This is perhaps the single most important thing you can do.
Check engine light
When you start your vehicle, the check engine light comes on momentarily to test the engine/emission control system and bulb. The system is self-diagnostic and the light is a way to communicate trouble. The system is designed to function in a "limp home" mode when trouble occurs and the light comes on - and stays on. However, take your vehicle to an authorized Subaru dealer right away.
Doggie details

You take your dog in your vehicle with you because of course you do. Why have a dog if you're not going to spoil it, after all? Camping, hiking, or just sunny days in a park are all great excuses for a drive with your canid comrade. But as a dog owner, you know that a regular vacuum isn't going to pick up dog fur out of upholstery. If you just want your car clear of doggie detritus without necessarily springing for the full shebang to make your vehicle like-new, we offer a doggie detail just for you…
We joined the Bar Harbor July 4th Parade with the Abbe Museum!
Parades are fun to watch, and thanks to collaboration with Subaru of New England and the Abbe Museum, it was a blast to participate, too.
Subaru of New England let us show their beautiful 3-row Ascent with the fancy lettering on the doors. We are so grateful for their support. (We have a few of our own Ascents on hand if you want a closer look!)
Battery maintenance
All Subaru vehicles are equipped with maintenance-free batteries. The term "maintenance-free" can be misleading, though, because these batteries do require some attention to keep them clean and efficient.
It is really important to have your car's battery checked by a Subaru-trained technician regularly. A battery check includes examining cable connections for cleanliness and tightness. Loose or corroded connections can drastically diminish your car's starting power.
We gave the teachers of Ellsworth Elementary-Middle School each $100
"We know a lot of teachers, and we know that many of them dip into their own pocket to help keep students fed, particularly at the end of the year like this," said Mark Politte, referencing the fact that 1 in 4 Maine children are food insecure. According to No Kid Hungry, most teachers spend hundreds of dollars of their own money on food for their students over the course of a year. "We're invested in helping these teachers continue to do the good work they do and letting them know that they're not alone."
Ascent reveal party at Stanley Subaru
We held a special invitation to our owners to be the first people in Maine to get an up close look at the all-new Subaru Ascent.
But we love to share, and we can't keep the excitement to ourselves, so we invited WABI TV5 to help us share the details!
And this being Teacher Appreciation Day and all, we couldn't neglect the opportunity to team up with our local Hannaford Supermarkets store to give $100 Hannaford gift cards to each teacher at a school selected by our guests.
