What's New for 2022 Subaru Crosstrek?
The 2022 Crosstrek brings only minor fine-tuning adjustments to the table. This is to be expected, since the previous model year had a fair few changes.
Performance
The Subaru Crosstrek is available with two different engine sizes, and each offers its own set of benefits. The first engine size is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces up to 148 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. This engine offers an EPA-estimated fuel economy of up to 28 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway when paired with the Continuously Variable Transmission.
The second engine size is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces up to 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. This engine offers an EPA-estimated fuel economy of up to 27 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway.
Lastly, the hybrid powertrain combines a 2.0-liter engine with a permanent magnet AC synchronous motor to provide a combined 148 horsepower and an estimated 90 MPGe.

Available Trims
The Subaru Crosstrek comes in five different trim levels: the base Crosstrek, Premium, Sport, Limited and Hybrid. The Premium trim adds a few more features, such as heated front seats and an upgraded infotainment system.
