Brown Appliance and Mattress and Stanley Subaru gave Community Closet a van.
It may not seem like much, but a van is a very big deal for the nonprofit. Before the ink was dry on the paperwork making everything official, Community Closet proprietor Jackie Wycoff was already telling Jason Brown and Mark Politte how having the van would free up storage space to allow for faster sorting of donations. That, in turn, would lead to more clothes and goods available for customers and people in need.

Working alongside Jackie and her regular cohort of volunteers was a truly magnificent experience, and it's hard to capture just what it felt like to help out last month.
Working with Jackie and the other volunteers at Community Closet was an eye opening, inspiring experience.
Put frankly, simple maintenance tasks keep your Subaru in top running condition which ultimately saves you money, because timely maintenance does more than keep your Subaru running smoothly; it can increase your car's trade-in value, improve its mileage, and save you time and costly repairs down the road.
Check the level of coolant in your radiator by looking at the coolant overflow tank. Maintaining proper antifreeze will keep your engine cool in hot weather and prevent damage when temperatures fall as low as 40 below zero.

A long time ago (Tuesday) in a candlestick bowling alley really close by...
Rotary International's goal of ending polio is fantastic, and every year it gets closer and closer to reality. When we found out there was a bowling night to fundraise for the effort, Stanley Subaru had to put together a couple teams. Nothing goes together quite like friendly trash talk and philanthropy.

We always love showing up to support the people in our community working toward such noble causes. And everyone had a blast remembering how bad they were at candlestick bowling.
Shocks and struts are the bits of your car that keep you from scraping the the bottom of your car on the road but also make it so you don't feel every little bump. Without shocks and struts, your vehicle would continually bounce and bound down the road. While it looks fun in rally video, experiencing it going to work is a real bummer.
Since winter is the time of frost heaves and infinite potholes, it's a good idea to check that shocks and struts are in top condition during the winter months.
We heard a bird bump into the glass, and it was a matter of seconds before Spencer and Katie ran out to check on everyone. Thankfully, this white-throated sparrow was only stunned. It showed no mobility injuries, but it certainly sustained a good wallop to its head. Spencer and Katie stuck around to make sure it was protected, rested, and warm until it was ready to fly off on its own (which it did after about five minutes).
