Stanley Subaru is partnering with The Grand of Ellsworth, Maine! For the next 10 years, The Grand will receive financial support from Stanley Subaru as part of the Campaign for The Grand. This lead gift from Stanley Subaru will help establish an endowment and create a debt-free, renovated building, which will enable The Grand to create and present more quality programs for the community.

The Grand named the stage in honor the gift. Beginning with the production of Monty Python's Spamalot opening October 17th, events will be presented on the Stanley Subaru Stage at The Grand.

"Stanley Subaru has been a proud supporter of The Grand for many years. We have always been committed to the Down East community and the cultural and educational programs available, and we are pleased our commitment will help underwrite programs The Grand offers," said Charlie Skovgaard, Stanley Subaru's General Sales Manager.

"The Grand has been an important part of the Ellsworth community for over 75 years. We are delighted to name the stage in honor of Stanley Subaru in thanks for their generous support," said Gail Thompson, Executive Director of The Grand. "This gift from Stanley Subaru will help us raise the funds needed to sustain our historic building and continue to present the best programs to our audiences."

The Subaru Love Promise is:

"We believe in making the world a better place. That's why we build fuel-efficient vehicles in eco-friendly plants. That's why, over the past 20 years, we've donated more than 50 million dollars to causes we all care about, and our employees have logged more than 28,000 volunteer hours.

And that's why we created the Subaru Love Promise. It's a pledge to do right by the communities in which we all live and work. We've signed it, and throughout the country, our retailers are doing the same. This is our promise to continue making a positive impact in the world and our neighborhoods."

The Subaru Love Promise is part of why Stanley Subaru is Stanley Subaru. We would have done this with or without the promise, but the great thing about being a Subaru dealer is the company reflects our commitment to our neighbors. From schools to after school programs to animal rescues to healthcare organizations to the arts, we want our community to thrive. We are absolutely thrilled that we get to support local arts with this sponsorship of The Grand, and we look forward to their programming flourishing as they can dedicate more of their time and effort to doing just that.
