Susan at the Mary Dow Center for Cancer Care chooses her cookie

Stanley Subaru raised $3210 for Maine Coast Memorial Hospital's Breast Health Clinic this October. Stanley Subaru enjoyed its 15th anniversary in October, and as part of our celebration we dedicated $15 for every test drive taken all month directly to diagnostic testing at Maine Coast Memorial. People from as far as Winthrop, Massachusetts took test drives to support local cancer care.

On Tuesday, November 11th, several people on the Stanley Subaru team including Dealer Principal Mark Politte visited Maine Coast Memorial Hospital to give staff at the Breast Health Clinic and the Mary Dow Center for Cancer Care crab-shaped cookies, treating the people that treat the community.

"I prefer 'Eating cancer's lunch,'" said Mark. "Early detection saves lives, and by providing that opportunity to people, we're giving people more power over cancer. We chose crab-shaped cookies because cancer is named after Cancer the crab, and there's something satisfying about taking a bite right out of it. It doesn't hurt that they're delicious."

Bill Bergeon of Subaru of New England came up to see us and join the celebration, he was so excited about the feat of fundraising from our guests.

Bill Carey, Jr. joined the delivery team (even though it was his day off!). We were happy to have him with us, because he personally signed up almost half of the test drives taken last month.
