Service Advisors Attend to YOUR Needs; Your Vehicle Comes Second

After several months of medical leave to recuperate from double knee replacements, we are proud to welcome back Dave Cookson!  Dave is one of our knowledgeable Service Advisors and he returns full time to Stanley Subaru on Monday, January 23rd. Stop by and say "Hi!" to Dave the next time you are in town!

Dave has been at Stanley Subaru for more than 5 years and has been involved with Subaru for over 12 years. He has owned several Subarus and speaks from experience and he currently drives a Forester.
Dave Cookson was born and raised in Old Town, Maine. He is a father of 2 children and lives with his partner of 9 years, Jean.  Dave has been involved with many different aspects of the automotive world, from running a drag strip, performance parts center and repair facilities. He has been in the field for 23 years.  When Dave isn't traveling from Dixmont every day to work, he enjoys motorcycling, kayaking and music. Dave enjoys his work as a Service Advisor and takes pride in addressing the needs of vehicle owners.

Our Service Manager, Neil Harriman, describes the Service Advisor's role as this:

"Service Advisors have the most contact with our guests than anybody else in our dealership. Customer relations skills, personality, and good temperament are all required, then vehicle knowledge follows. It is most important that we look after the needs of our guests, and here at Stanley Subaru their needs come first and their car is second."

It takes 12 months for a Subaru Service Advisor to be fully trained, and then they attend regularly scheduled training to keep their skills and knowledge current. When new vehicles are launched, procedures updated, or recalls issued, they are the first to know.  Subaru Service Advisors are consultants for vehicle owners to turn to when they have a concern or for regular maintenance. They answer questions, determine what services are needed or recommended and make sure our guests needs are attended to.

The Service Department welcomes input and advice on how we can better serve our guests. The Service Technicians, Service Manager, and all of our Service Advisors sit down and have meetings on how we can improve, provide better service, and make sure our guests have their needs addressed.  How can we help you today?

To welcome Dave back by email or to ask him your questions, call us at 207-667-4641.
