Stanley Subaru is once again supporting Down East cancer patients with Test Drives for the Cure.

For every test drive taken in October, Stanley Subaru will donate $10 to the care of patients at the Mary Dow Center for Cancer Care, a department of Maine Coast Memorial Hospital.

No purchase is necessary, and the money will be donated in your name. This program has been running since 2009, and directly benefits local cancer patients. Test Drives for the Cure has raised over $10,000 for patient care in Hancock County so far!

Test Drives for the Cure

Mark Politte, owner of Stanley Subaru, started the program, because “cancer is something that touches all of us at some point.” On Test Drives for the Cure benefitting breast cancer care, he said, “Breast cancer is a specific instance where early detection makes a big difference. We’re proud to partner with Maine Coast Memorial Hospital to make mammograms affordable, accessible, and available to those who need them.”

“Everyone needs to have access to screening, and Stanley Subaru helps ensure self-employed people, seasonal workers, and anyone who comes in can get access to care they need,” says Jack Frost of the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital Foundation.
