Executive summary:
For under $30,000, you can drive the Subaru WRX, a turbocharged, all-wheel-drive performance car, respected the world over.  If you have approximately $8,000 more, you can buy the STi--a WRX on steroids.  For the extra money, you get a bigger engine with more power, an even more sophisticated suspension, and many other upgrades.  The all-new 2015 models will arrive at Stanley Subaru in April, 2014.

If you are one of the lucky 1,000 people to get their hands on the STi Launch Edition, the first production version of the 2015 Subaru WRX STi, you get these additional features:
  • WR Blue Pearl paint
  • Gold-painted BBS forged alloy wheels
  • Alcantara upholstery featuring blue and black leather bolsters and black stitching
  • Keyless Access & Start
  • STI short-throw shifter

Both the all-new 2015 WRX and STi have the following in common:

  • New flat bottom steering wheel.
  • More interior space:  one-inch longer wheelbase and the A-pillars pushed forward eight inches.
  • Both are now available as sedan only.  Maybe the hatchback will return in the future.
  • Standard electronic torque vectoring.
  • Substantially more rigid chassis.
