After a few years working as an engineer, Mark Politte joined the automotive world in 1994 to work for Ford Motor Company. A dynamic career with Ford led Mark, and his wife Samantha, to many assignments and cities throughout the United States. In 2005, he fulfilled a childhood dream by purchasing Stanley Subaru.
Mark and his wife Samantha are very proud as the owners of Stanley Subaru, but are even more proud of their three children. In 2004 they decided to make Down East Maine their home fulfilling their desire to put down roots, be active contributing members of a small community, and raise their family in a supportive and value based environment.
Since purchasing Stanley Subaru, the dealership has received numerous awards and accolades including twice receiving Subaru's most prestigious "President's Award". Most recently Stanley Subaru was recognized as a Stellar Care dealer, an award bestowed on an elite few for exceptional customer (guests) relationships.
Mark is particularly pleased that the dealership participates in many community events and in the last seven years has actively supported over 20 local charities through hours, financial support, goods, and services-work he says is critical to Stanley Subaru's long term success in this small community.
Mark has helped create an Employee Wellness Program here at Stanley Subaru which includes programs from the Wellness Council of America, like our recent Every Body/Every Day Wellness Challenge.

Kevin was born and raised in Maine and graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1987. He also attended the University of Maine at Machias where he graduated in 1992 with a bachelors degree in business management and marketing. He and his wife Kathy reside in Hampden and have two boys, Kurt and Kyle.
Kevin says, "At Stanley Subaru our guests satisfaction is everything. It starts with the right employees who can surprise and delight our guests on a daily basis." He's personally committed to making sure this happens everyday in the dealership.

Bryan Harriman has lived in Maine all his life. He has over 30 years of automotive parts experience and is celebrating 10 years of service at Stanley Subaru.
Bryan has lived with his partner Eileen for 17 years and has 2 VERY active grandchildren. Together they enjoy kayaking, hiking and anything involving the outdoors and grandchildren.
He also has 2 Subaru's in the family. The Legacy has 217,000 miles and his Outback has 257,000 miles. Bryan says "I will trade when they reach 350,000 miles."

Neil Harriman grew up in London, England and moved to Maine in December 1997. He has been in the Automotive Industry for more than 20 years and has worked in all the different dealership departments.
Neil loves anything that has an engine in it, (except the lawn mower) and loves the beauty Maine has to offer.

Prior to joining Stanley Subaru's Sales Department in February of 2007, Kelly attended University of Maine at Machias earning a Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in History. Though initially planning to teach high school English, she took a position in sales and found she loved the field, working for eleven years as a Sales Consultant and Sales Manager at several newspapers in both the Portland and Hancock County areas.
Originally from East Machias, a small town up the coast, Kelly now resides in Northeast Harbor with her partner, one small dog and a trio of kitties. Living in such close proximity to Acadia National Park affords Kelly the opportunity to indulge in some of her favorite hobbies, hiking and kayaking. She also enjoys reading, gardening and genealogy.

- Geddy grew up in Bar Harbor and graduated from MDI high school in 1981. She has been in the car business since 1995 starting out at a dealership in New Hampshire at a time when being a female sales person was unique. "I was fortunate enough to have an owner who realized that hiring a woman into a competitive male environment could be a great advantage."Geddy moved back to Bar Harbor in 1999 and married her best friend Scott Richardson. Together they share four wonderful children. Geddy was the first person hired at Stanley Subaru by Dick and Karen Stanley and is celebrating her twelfth year at the dealership. Geddy has been the finance manager at Stanley Subaru since the dealership opened in 1999.

After graduating from Windham High School in 1989, Dan attended Thomas College in Waterville, Maine. While there he played 3 sports including Soccer, Hockey and Lacrosse. After graduating in 1993 he worked for the Wal-Mart company as an Assistant Manager for 3 years and Papoose Pond Resort as the Operations Manager for 2 years. Out of necessity, Dan sought opportunity within the car business at Maine Mall Motors. After 2 years of sales in South Portland, he move with his wife and then used car manager Kevin Townsend to Bangor to work at the Berlin City Used Car center. Moving forward, Dan Tibbetts opened Stanley Subaru with Dick and Karen Stanley in October 1999. He has been a certified Subaru Salesperson for 12 plus years.
Dan resides in Eddington with his wife Traci and his two children Noah and Jordan. He is an avid outdoors man, hockey player, coach, referee and volunteer. He loves old cars, sports of any type, fishing and camping. He believes that family comes first and having Stanley Subaru as his extended family is an extremely important part of his success.
Dan is one of our Employee Wellness Program superstars, as he logs a lot of exercise by running, biking, swimming, and playing hockey.

Jason Craig has joined our Sales Department as a Sales Consultant. Jason is from Hancock and has 4 children ages 9, 11, 13, and 15. He spent 6 years in the Air Force and currently serves on the Hancock Volunteer Fire Department as an EMT. He is also enrolled in Eastern Maine Community College part time.
Jason has been in the automotive business for 14 years and has worked in every department except accounting. He knows vehicles in and out from his experience in reconditioning, sales, parts department, service writing, and finance and insurance.
Jason has recently joined our Employee Wellness Program and is doing great with our EveryBody/EveryDay Wellness Challenge by hiking, swimming, and doing calisthenics.

Being our newest sales consultant, and a cold weather lover, we introduced him to the fun that is clearing snow off an entire inventory of Subarus and re-parking the cars after plowing the lot! Ahhh. Blaine was born and raised in Bechtelsville, a town near Reading, Pennsylvania. His parents were Newfoundland breeders who bred and showed the family's dogs in various dog shows. He worked the dog show circuits for many years and his family had 8 Newfoundlands and a Whippet in the house at one time! (Just think of all the vacuuming!)
Blaine met his wife Nancy in 1996, and surprised her with a honeymoon in Bar Harbor in 1998. In fact, they celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary this month! After visiting Bar Harbor, they loved the area and dreamed of moving here permanently. Blaine has been on several mission trips, to Tennessee, Kentucky and to Home, Inc, in Orland, Maine.Previously from a Honda dealership in Pennsylvania, Blaine brings his experience in auto sales and also has significant experience in banking, investments, and insurance industries. He and Nancy and their two cats, Tinkerbell and Hijinx, have moved to Blue Hill.In his spare time, Blaine enjoys hiking, biking, and sightseeing. Jeanne is our Communications Specialist, Administrative Assistant, Health and Wellness Coordinator, and all around go to gal.
She is an Ellsworth native, and a graduate of the University of Maine at Machias. Her young daughter keeps her on her toes, and they both enjoy being outdoors and enjoying all that Maine has to offer.
Jeanne is celebrating her 1st Anniversary with her first Subaru - a Forester - and she loves it! She says she's delighted to be able to recommend the Subaru brand, and Stanley Subaru service 100%, as she was a guest of ours before she was an employee. Stop in and say hello to Jeanne!
As Health and Wellness Coordinator, Jeanne has joined forces with Maine Coast Memorial Hospital's True Health Program, Healthy Acadia and Crossfit Acadia and has lost almost 80 pounds in the last 12 months! Rosalie graduated from UConn, moved to New York, then moved to Maine with her husband, Christopher, right after getting married in 1991. Rosalie and her husband currently reside in Bar Harbor and share 3 young daughters who keep them very busy.
Rosalie's family has a dog named Josie (aka Josie and the Pussycats, for those of you old enough to remember the comic!) and 4 cats. They also have a few fish and a pig farm.
Rosalie has been with Stanley Subaru for two years and works in our accounting department. And she just bought her first Subaru!

Born and raised in Sullivan, Maine, Sally is married to her husband of 16 years Elliot Daley and she has 2 daughters, a step son and step daughter, and together they have 11 grandchildren ranging in age from 4 to 20 years old.
Sally loves to paint and is a crafting guru-- she taught Stanley Subaru's owner Mark Politte how to make beautiful bracelets for his wife! She creates an annual Christmas craft show with her best friend and together they create exquisite works of art that delight and amaze everyone here at Stanley Subaru. Sally enjoys gardening and spending summers out at Flanders. Sally has been in the automotive industry for 26 years and has worked in every department. She feels that Stanley Subaru is family oriented and that the employees are like family and make every day fun.
Speaking of fun, Sally has joined our Employee Wellness Program and is making great strides toward improving her health, enjoying long walks in the morning, and eating healthier. Way to go Sally!

David Cookson was born and raised in Old Town, Maine. He is a father of 2 children and lives with his partner of 9 years, Jean.
David has been involved with many different aspects of the automotive world, from running a drag strip, performance parts center and repair facilities. He has been in the field for 23 years.
When David isn't traveling from Dixmont every day to work, he enjoys motorcycling, kayaking and music.

Lucas was born and raised in Penobscot, Maine and lives there to this day, where he is a member of the Penobscot Fire Department. In his spare time, Lucas volunteers at Baptist Youth Camp down in Charlotte, Maine. He has been on two missions to the Dominican Republic, one to rebuild a church and one to rebuild a school.

Victor has joined our Service Department as our in house "Victor-of-all-trades", serving as our courtesy shuttle driver, maintenance man, chief shoveler and leaky roof fixer. Victor is a 14 year Marine Corps Veteran, an active member of the Lygonia Lodge of Masons in Ellsworth for the past 5 years, and a family man.
Victor was born and raised in Mantua, New Jersey and moved to Maine with his family in 1998. He and his family fell in love with the area after many childhood trips to Georges Pond. A busy family man, Victor has 2 children, 5 step-children, and 2 grandchildren. When he is not working, he enjoys the outdoors, hunting, and working in the woods.Victor is part of our Service Department and drives our Courtesy Shuttle around town, is our company maintenance man, is our chief snow shoveler and leaky roof fixer, among many other tasks. Always with a smile on his face, he happily drives our guests to where they need to go while their vehicle's are being serviced.

- Stanley Subaru lost a family member, Steve Bailey, on December 23, 2012. Steve was a strong fighter in his battle with cancer, and remained brave and strong for his wife and son. Although we are relieved Steve is no longer in pain, we are deeply saddened and heartbroken for his family and friends. Thank you Steve for the years we shared with you and your smile will live on through your son, Corbin. May you rest in peace.
